ขั้นตอนการประคบ

 ข้อควรระวังในการประคบ
•    ห้ามใช้ลูกประคบที่ร้อนเกินไป โดยเฉพาะกับบริเวณผิวหนังอ่อนๆ หรือบริเวณที่เป็นแผลมาก่อน ถ้าจำเป็นต้องประคบควรมีผ้ารองหรือรอจนกว่าลูกประคบจะคลายความร้อนลง
•    ควรระวังเป็นพิเศษในผู้ป่วยโรคเบาหวาน อัมพาต เด็ก และผู้สูงอายุ เนื่องจากกลุ่มบุคคลดังกล่าวมีการตอบสนองความรู้สึกร้อนช้า อาจทำให้ผิวหนังพองได้ ถ้าจำเป็นต้องประคลให้ใช้ลูกประคบอุ่นๆ
•    ไม่ควรใช้ลูกประคบกรณีที่มีการอักเสบใน 24 ชั่วโมงแรก เพราะอาจทำให้การอักเสบมากขึ้น ควรประคบด้วยความเย็นก่อน
•    หลังจากประคบสมุนไพรแล้ว ไม่ควรอาบน้ำทันที เพราะจะไปชะล้างตัวยาออกจากผิวหนัง และร่างกายอาจปรับตัวไม่ทัน
